Dear Me,
I know things aren’t exactly how you pictured, but you’ve come so far. You got help when you needed it, you pushed through the hard stuff, and you’ve built a life you should be proud of.
You probably thought you’d be a successful artist by now… well, you are in a way — you’re trying, and that matters. You probably thought you’d have moved out and be on your own with your own little cat family too. But in reality, you do have your cat family — just at home. And truthfully, current me wouldn’t change a thing.
It’s okay that you live life your way. It’s okay to wonder what things might be like if life had gone differently — if you were in a relationship, or if you were on your own. But where you are now is still something to be proud of.
Your job, your coworkers, your website, your car — all things you created and earned. Your business may not be making money yet, but it makes you happy, it keeps you grounded, and that’s a huge win.
You’re living out your younger self’s dream by caring for your parents and handling life with strength. There’s still so much to learn and discover, but you will get there.
For now — breathe, be proud, and take it one day at a time.
