This Is One Reason Why I Hold Onto My Creativity

As stressful as adulthood can feel sometimes, creativity is one of the few things that still helps me reconnect with myself outside of responsibilities.
Life can easily become schedules, work, stress, expectations, emotional exhaustion, and constantly feeling needed somewhere.
There is always something to do.
Something to fix.
Something to worry about.
And after a while, it becomes easy to forget what it feels like to simply exist without pressure.
That is one reason I hold onto my creativity so tightly.
Whether it is coloring, drawing, designing cute characters, writing reflections, photography, journaling, or creating comforting things online — creativity reminds me that I am still a person outside of survival mode.
It brings me back to softer parts of myself that adulthood sometimes tries to bury under stress.
The imaginative part.
The playful part.
The curious part.
The emotional part.
The part that still finds comfort in colors, cozy hobbies, storytelling, animals, art, and creating things simply because they feel meaningful.
Creativity gives my brain somewhere gentle to go when the world feels loud.
And honestly, I think a lot of adults need that more than they realize.
Not everything has to become productive to matter.
Sometimes creating is enough.
Sometimes coloring is enough.
Sometimes making silly little drawings after a hard day is enough.
Because healing is not always dramatic.
Sometimes it is quietly protecting the parts of yourself that stress tried to take away.
